Pilothouse & Cockpit steering stations. Roller Furling on all sails w/ in mast mainsail. Bow thruster... This gorgeous yacht was purchased seven years ago by a man that loves projects (but is not a sailor). The boat's interior Looks BRAND NEW! This guy has gone into every cubbyhole, cleaned, painted, varnished, re-upholstered and absolutely detailed everything! Engine room is spotless, so is every bilge... it really is something to look at: He even keeps plastic over the top of the matching bed comforters.

Couple this with a "no-nonsense," most rugged sailboat ever built... and you are looking at one heck of a gnarly, go-anywhere sailing yacht!

Accommodations
Wow, what a perfect setup for the family going cruising... OK maybe its better suited for the Guy who demands everything and spent his childhood sailing the seven seas... and he really has specific expectaions of what a good seagoing boat is! Captain's Cabin is aft w/ensuite head/tub. Lots of storage thru-out. Great access to engine room with door entry coming from the aft cabin hallway (plus thru floor boards in pilot house for extreme access). Large and wonderful pilothouse with large settee. Below & forward (starboard) is the large dinette - opposite the gourmet large galley... perfect for underway feasts! Farther forward on port is the VIP stateroom ( a double pullman berth). Starboard side has a head w/showerstall. Farthest forward cabin has the crew bunkbeds. This is an excellent layout! Certainly a dream design for those folks that are spending time on a "real" cruise!

Galley
OK, Look at the pictures!!!! I don't think they have made such a perfect galley since the ol' days of South Pacific "Schooner" expeditions. It really is thought out! I have been at sea.... I really like this galley. The crew will like it too! No make shift stuff here... wanta cook something in the Bering Strait? There simply is alot of ol' school thought here.... But then again, Skookum's were originally designed for the swordfish fleet of commercial Fishing crafts that had to sail so far off the Pacific Northwest coast... that they had to be sailboats vs power! So your getting a galley that is setup to provide for the rigors of daily hardcore use (commercial use with a sparkling charm)
  • Fleming Refrigeration built in-
  • I mean commercial grade - solid - meeting the standards of the fishing industry! With seperate Deep Freeze... Again look at the pictures!
  • We're thinking months at sea here folks!
  • Force 10 3 burner propane stove w/ oven
  • Preasure Hot & cold fresh water
  • Microwave
  • Did I mention 6'3" headroom in galley

Electronics
OK, What electronics would you like... if your were heading out for months and months at sea!
  • Kenwood Single Side Band Radio w/ repeaters
  • Furuno Weather Fax
  • Magnavox MX100 GPS interfaced w/ autopilot
  • Furuno 36 mile Radar
  • rudder indicator

  • Two VHF Radios, for each helm station

Electrical

  • 110 vt AC Electrical & 12 vt
  • Automatic Battery Charger

Sails
It get easy here.... everything is roller furling... including in-mast mainsail furling...
plus the main sheet has an electric winch!
Everything else is led aft to the cockpit...
Owner says, the sails have only seen one day of wind!
All built custom by Ulman sails
  • All sails made of Dacron
  • Jib
  • Staysail
  • Main
  • self tailing winches
  • plus ... and remember were going to sea... so...
  • This boat has a Storm tri-sail w/ a seperate track on the main mast

Teak decks, teak cabin house with a bar b-que on the stern rail
  • 60lb CQR w/ 400 feet of chain
  • OF course it has a large anchor windlass
  • Danforth stern hook w/ 50'chain - 250 rode
  • Fresh water wash down system

Engine & Mechanical
Ford Lehman 120hp workhorse as the main engine
Kept in an immaculate engine room with lots of room for routine maintenance.
Don't forget the aft entrance door for underway engine room checks
  • Bow thruster with dual operating stations
  • Halon system in engine room

Additional
Question? Do you really want to go to sea? Cause if you don' t this boat is overkill.
The hull was built for the owners of Skookum, then Cecil Lange finished it to the highest standards!
Interior woodwork is magnificently done in teak and port orford cedar... ya gotta see her to appreciate!
All of the interior looks BRAND NEW! Including every bilge! She is a serious blue water cruiser!
